@leoparddog thanks for suggestions on the DEET --

i was more wondering about actual vaccines -- do i need to get any before I go to Honduras

hi @scubadada -- i just checked there -- ill be making an appointment with the dr in the next month or two to get all my shots up to do date LOL

Thanks for posting,it hadn't occurred to me to check vaccines.

@kelemvor it was my doctor that actually brought it up when I told I was going to Honduras -- so I am glad we got off topic and started talking about diving (he dives too).

I work for the CDC here in Atlanta. This is what the Centers for Disease Control has to say about Honduras. No specific information about Roatan though.

edit.....which is pretty much the same link scubadada posted above. Hat tip to him.

From where I sit at work monitoring the ER visits across the nation, I'm more concerned about Chikungunya, Dengue or Zika than the things I can get vaccinated for. Thus DEET

lol DEET will be bought in bulk :p

Its easy for people to 'recommend' something, particularly when they are not paying for it. The CDC recommends the typhoid vaccine. For me to get it where I am at is roughly $100 (health department price). I am on the fence with this one, and leaning towards not getting it. What say you?
