OK, sad story first ...

I just went to put a new battery in my Oceanic Veo 250, and when I started to take the back off, I noticed a crack in it. Bummer! So I thought it was worth a try to dab a little super glue on it. I put some alcohol on a cotton swab to clean my greasy fingerprints off of it (harmless, right?) and the entire back was immediately crazed with cracks. Now really a bummer ...

Minimally, I need a new back for the computer. But I've been reading all the stories of current issues with Oceanic, backlogs, delays, etc. And I have one month to solve this, no more. I want to stick with Oceanic because I dive with two computers, the other being an Oceanic Pro Plus 2. Same algorithm but with the addition of AI ... air integration.

I've poked around and can probably find a used one, or at least a similar Oceanic model, for $200-300, but I'm way too tight for that. Any ideas? BTW, the long straight crack running roughly left-right in the photo was the original one. Thanks in advance!

I hesitate to post this because I think it is too much but Eric has one that has not been dove in a year or so and has no case. I asked and he said 75 dollars. Will post pics if you are interested.

BTW. Sorry about your computer.

I'm interested in checking out any options. Tell me, or show me, more please ...

... and thanks for the sympathy

I'm impressed ... I couldn't turn up anything looking for it! Confirming size with them now. I'm assuming it's the same, but not specifically listed as such.
Been working on the web since the beginning... I have a zen thing with google queries  I actually bought one of those a couple of years ago when I noticed a crack in mine on my veo 200. Still have it somewhere as I haven't thought to change it. Don't recall what site I bought it from. Thought it might have been directly from oceanic, but doesn't look like u can do that anymore. I'm pretty sure that cover is the same for all veo's.

Well my Veo 200 went belly up and they are obsolete, no repair available. I can send you the cover, but I won't be home for at least a week. If you still need it then PM me and I'll send it.

Bob
Reminder: keep the door when I chuck the puck.

Sounds like you've got it covered but just in case here are the pics.

A couple of my doors have gone bad and I have been able to get them online. The trick is to know it is a door, not a cover.

I think I'm good for now Bob, but if you don't need it as a spare, I may well take you up on that ...
