OK, sad story first ...
I just went to put a new battery in my Oceanic Veo 250, and when I started to take the back off, I noticed a crack in it. Bummer! So I thought it was worth a try to dab a little super glue on it. I put some alcohol on a cotton swab to clean my greasy fingerprints off of it (harmless, right?) and the entire back was immediately crazed with cracks. Now really a bummer ...
Minimally, I need a new back for the computer. But I've been reading all the stories of current issues with Oceanic, backlogs, delays, etc. And I have one month to solve this, no more. I want to stick with Oceanic because I dive with two computers, the other being an Oceanic Pro Plus 2. Same algorithm but with the addition of AI ... air integration.
I've poked around and can probably find a used one, or at least a similar Oceanic model, for $200-300, but I'm way too tight for that. Any ideas? BTW, the long straight crack running roughly left-right in the photo was the original one. Thanks in advance!
