Can someone tell me, can you use the reversible kit on these second stages or is that only offered on the chrome version?

The reversible kit can only be used on a reversible 2nd stage.

As of now there are no more HOG reversible regs being made. Best bet is to find a used one.

Thats's what I thought. You would think since they all take the same parts kit and they all carry the same name, just different colors, you could reverse them. Hey HOG, hint, hint! Would be nice.

Thanks for the quick reply.

It is really nice to have a reversible option with the growing popularity of sidemount. I was fortunate enough to grab one of the reversible classics back when they sold those, so my sidemount setup is HOG Classics one left feed one right. Excellent setup.

I agree with you, I just bought a HOG sidemount system and was looking at some new HOG regs for it. I have double BM and I'm running the Black Zenith regs on it. Easy breathers never had any issues with them. I was think of going with the new gray look for my sidemount and would love to be able to reverse one of them.

Hey Doby45,

I was doing some reading and I saw a post that you dive a HOG sidemount system. I was wounding if you use any weights and where you staged them. I have the sidemount system and the HOG pockets but I don't really want to use them. I prefer to put it on my Back if possible, any thoughts?

I dive HP100s and use no weight at all with my HOG SM BC. IF, I did need to put weight on I would get the 1 or 2lb weights and place them on the back down the middle.

I have lp72 but I thinking I might need a couple of pounds if I had to ditch one cylinder. I could find a weight system for the HOG SM system other then zip tying led weights to the back.

I have added some pockets to the back of the rig using bungee cord and the XS Scuba weight pockets. Took them off however since I didn't really need them. Steel cylinders and a MAKO rubber belt with the pockets solved any weighting issues I had.
