Prayers to families and friends. RIP.

Always sad to hear when this happens. I have been out on that operations many times and they are very attentative and always safety conscious. Weather should not have been an issue.

Condolences to the family and friends.

I know the diver and she is very experienced and safety conscious. She dove off of Jupiter with Jupiter Drift Divers frequently and knew the area and conditions well.

This is about all that is being reported online so far:

A 65-year-old-female who had been diving off the coast of Jupiter, has been pronounced dead, police say.

According to Palm Beach Sheriff's office, t he female diver was diving off a private boat from the Jupiter Dive Center.

The woman had some complications in the water, and a civilian boater took the victim to a dock in Jupiter to meet Jupiter Fire Rescue.

PBSO responded to the distress call, and transported the woman to St. Mary's Medical Center, Saturday morning.

The cause of her death is not known at this time.
Hoping someone knows more details about the "complications in the water"...

Condolences to her family & friends.

A group of 9 of us from Texas were diving there yesterday with Scuba Works. We heard the news from the boat radio & seemed like help already rendered so we proceeded with our diving plan. Thank goodness the weather was fine yesterday. No rain & current were mild. Visibility was about 50'. All of us were safely back to boat.

Sorry, it's not perfectly clear to me. Was this a private charter with Jupiter Dive Center or a private boat?
She was doing the morning dive with other divers on a Jupiter Dive Center boat. They take divers out at 9 AM and 1:30 PM daily.

I saw the boat heading out of the dock at about the same time as our boat.

Sad! I heard that she was incapacitated (like having a heart attack) while underwater & some divers had to bring her up to the surface.
