Hello all,

We're currently a mobile operation teaching out of a high school pool and dragging a large trailer full of gear/equipment to the lake for OW. Does anyone know if there are any manufacturers that do not require a brick and mortar location to rep? It's on the horizon, but we'd like to carry gear for our students now.

Thanks,

- h3

Second hand information:

I know several guys who have registered a very minimal 'store front' address in order to carry whatever brand they want. They said provided their sales volume is high enough they haven't had an issue with this practice.

Have you approached a dealer with the idea of a reduced price volume sale? Dive gear manufactures like for their dealers to produce certain numbers. A small dive shop could benefit from a sale of 10 BCDs, 4 complete regulator sets, masks, snorkels and fins, etc. And to get their price break your sales might be very enticing.

Deep 6 Gear

@cerich @LandonL

Isn't the point behind Deep6 to provide quality equipment, make available parts for service, and eliminate the "middle guy", accomplished by having it all from a centralized source?

Now, should you desire to become an advertiser (buy a bunch, and have it in your training "locker", steering students to them for purchase, it might be a benefit...

From the Deep6 website:

"Make sure you look at the independent instructors and demo centers that we have listed and work with, we turn away the majority of instructors that want to work with us, instead only wanting the very best. You can find them here (Affiliate Locator)."

Hi, I am not associated with Deep6, just a friend and supporter of Chris & crew.

Looks like Chris would welcome some good representation in the Great Lakes.

Good instruction is the start of good diving.

I was very fortunate to have some great instructors as I learned to dive.

Still diving today as a result.
