Does anyone else have issues when they click the update button on the e-cards portion of the PADI app? My app just crashes. Tried re-installing.

Mine seems to work fine, except I have no cards to update, but at least it does not crash when I hit Update.
I'm on Android.

I have an Android phone and my PADI app crashes whenever I try to use it. I press update to get my e-cards and it crashes. I've never got it to work. I've uninstalled it and re-installed it. Still not luck. I just gave up on it. I have all my cards from before e-cards existed. So I really don't need it.

There are different google (and apple probably) app stores for different countries. Well, sometimes - I can't say for sure if US and CA use the same store. If they use a different store then it's possible that you are getting a different version of this app than folks in another country. You could try and work around that by temporarily loading a VPN app and connecting to another country. I've never done it myself, but from what I have read it's becoming common in Europe due to some draconian regulations they've got in place of the internet over that way.

TunnelBear VPN - Android Apps on Google Play Here's an example of a VPN app. I'm not endorsing this particular one or anything, just provided the link in case you didn't know what I was talking about.

That might also help if the app connects to a different PADI server on the back end based on country.

Or it could be an incompatibility due to OS versioning or some third thing... it's probably worth a shot though.

Good guess @kelemvor but even when I'm 'in' the USA (using a VPN) it still doesn't work for me. I suspect it is because I'm registered with PADI Canada and not PADI
USA. :(

Well, I'm missing some of my cards, either somehow misplaced or were never delivered. As a dive master, I'm supposed to be able to get the e-cards for free.

Yes as a Divemaster you can get Padi E-Cards for free as long as you are a divemaster in good standing with PADI annual fee up to date. If there is a problem I would call PADI directly and esplain -this happened to me once where my over than 40 E-cards were deleted.
