I'm planning to go see my brother in Seminole the 1st week of May. I plan on one day of diving while I'm there with Tanks-s-lot charters. What are the water temps at 40-60FSW that time of year? I've got a 1MM rash guard, a 3MM one piece and a 2mm shorty. I'm inclined to bring all three. Would the rash guard under the 3MM be too much?

Also are there any places to go snorkeling? Mrs.AD maybe up for some snorkeling. Thanks for any help.

Water temp in the gulf is starting to warm up that time frame. My notes show low 70’s at depth late April, by the end of May almost 80.
Never been on either of those operations but thought Narcosis was east coast (Atlantic) out of WPB.

You are correct about the east coast my bad. That sounds nice! Up here the water will be around 45-55F then.

Thanks for the link Cuzz! I'm an old man I'll probably need some neoprene. Last year the water here got to be 70F I still needed neoprene! I'll be contacting you.

I should have put this in the OP but I'll be going alone, no buddy, so if anyone is free the 1st week of May and wants to make a couple of dives with me let me know. I'm not sure yet which day yet but it will definitely be a week day.

By the way, Fred Howard Park has great snorkeling. Lots of sea grass makes for lots of critters. It's right off the beach, very convenient.

I saw Howard Park on youtube thanks for the heads up!

Are there any places to shore dive from around the Tampa? I can't find a charter going out tomorrow, I'm leaving for home Friday, but I'd like to get a dive or two in before then. Any suggestions?
