Chris Davies, Octopus Diving/Caribbean Technical Diving, St Martin

I was recently informed of the passing of my former Employer, Chris Davies, Owner of Octopus Diving and Caribbean Technical Diving which occurred yesterday April 10th 2018 in a non-diving related manner.

I worked for Chris for 2.5 years. Chris gave me my start in the Technical Diving world and was my first IT. For his training and mentorship, I will always be grateful. He was a skilled engineer and if he couldn't fix it, it wasn't broken. Chris will be missed by his friends and customers throughout the diving world.

What happened? I dove with Octopus when in St. Martin and I know they were having problems before the Hurricanes.

To our loving dear friend , words Alone cannot describe what our life will be without you mate . You will be with us on every dive we make with every breath we take , we shall be looking for you at every coral head seeing your contagious smile . Although I don't know Chris personally, I have always been impressed with the quality of the business(es) he has build.

I worked with Chris one season. He did an outstanding job building Octopus Diving and did a lot for the diving community in St Martin. He will be greatly missed. RIP Chris
