Hi guys, i'm going to Okinawa in June and was looking to see what spot I shouldn't miss diving while there for a few days. Thanks

Weather prevented me from going to the Kerama Islands, and I really wanted to see the "runins" at Yonaguni. My other dives there were Ok, but I missed out on those two I was aiming for.

yes I saw Kerama Islands, it's a must dive when in Okinawa.

On the island, Horseshoe, Bolo point and if you have a good contact, secrets south. But I will not post the location. The best is the USS Emmons DD 457.

I must add that despite others opinions, these dives can be a life taker. I.e. Bolo looks very cool as well as Horseshoe but both can change very fast and will leave you, if you make it, wondering how you got out alive.

U.S.S. Emmons is a great dive, but it is at 40-45m, so make sure you're comfortable going to that depth. When I went, it required two safety stops, a deep stop and another at the usual 5m.

Ishigaki, another island that you'll have to fly to, is great for Mantas at Manta Scramble. The diving is just dropping into a canyon and wait for Mantas to swim by...

Lots of good diving (beach and shore) on the main island. What exactly do you want to see?
