Now that's either very rare or extremely hard to find. I've never seen one.

OK, I'll play. Bumblebee shrimp. Not rare but very, very small and hard to spot.

Some of the rare, tough to spot, tough to find are sometimes there and sometimes not. Arrow shrimp were fairly common a few years ago, but have been absent from Cozumel waters more recently.

Frog fish are either rare or hard to find, or both. We have done more than 1,000 dives in Cozumel since 1991 and only seen five of these elusive fish.

Flamingo tongues are very common in Cozumel. The fingerprint cyphoma is much rarer. What used to be considered a separate species is now known to be a color variation of the flamingo tongue. It's still a treat to find one.

Second only to frog fish are the hard to find batfish.

Viper moray - this is the only one I've ever seen.

Goliath grouper - said to not frequent Cozumel's waters. Here's photographic proof that they do exist.
