Why are they still in business? Do they offer a service so unique/valuable that no one else can offer? I would’ve stopped being nice 1.25 years ago.

yes. they're the only ones with g231n neoprene.
they also make custom wetsuits for fatties

I get that...but at the end of the day, no matter how awesome they are, if you don’t get the product, it doesn’t matter, does it?

I feel for you though. Maybe a less than awesome custom hood somewhere else is better than nothing.

yea. i went against literally everyone's advice (everyone in the wkpp stopped buying from them years ago) and ordered anyway because my last experience with them was ok and literally all they had to do this time was cut that one apart and copy it

I was the "someone" - when I asked Connie about Brian's hood/s she told me she had just spoken with Brian and it was worked out. I clarified that I had literally *just that morning* been in contact with him and was hoping to get some sort of detail about when she was going to get to it. The most specific answer I could get was "it will be a priority next week when I get back" (which was last week, for those who are tracking)

i had someone bring it up at tekdive to Connie. she said i would be a priority first thing this week. haven't heard a peep yet.
if i dont have it in 3 weeks i'd be happy to have someone take another crack at it

i'll update this thread if/when this is ever resolved either way

I did pay by credit card. but making sure a custom wetsuit is ready before the chargeback deadline can be tricky. especially if you dont live local to the merchant.

I wonder why the reviews are either 5-star "they're absolutely wonderful" reviews or 1-star "they're liars and I didn't get my product". Why the great divergence? Are the owners picking customers to be bad to? I'm confused.

i don't get it either. I've also given them 5 star reviews to people and recommended them because of how smoothly my original hood order went years ago. maybe it's just random.
