I just got a K01Hood. Love it. I would say it is a great option vs. the WetWear Hood.

I have a big box full of k01 hoods. they're just ok. the 5 mil i have started to disintegrate after dive one. the stitching came loose and the material squished permanently.

the 8mil doesn't have these issues but the fit is bad for everyone. it smashes your chin into your mouthpiece and on long dives it's quite painful. I'm told they've redesigned the fit, though, so new ones may be better

the k01, in my opinion, is the only decent option for hoods these days. the wetwear hoods are much better, but you know...wetwear

ooo i got a reply just now:

Hi Brian,

I will ship your hoods on Thursday.

Sincerely,

Connie Sonnabend

maybe the saga is over? ....on thursday

I guess I have a newer one, not as bad as the jaw fatigue as you mentioned. It keeps me warm... which is what I enjoy.

it's not a problem until the runtimes get long. if you can walk around with it and speak comfortably you probably have a new one

Connie called today and tried to get a credit card number to charge me for more shipping. she said since she only charged me for one hood (130$ total according to some invoice she says she has) that i would need to pay shipping. I said no, you for sure charged me for both of these hoods.

so i looked it up and of course i was right she had charged me 291 dollars back in november of 2016.

buyer beware. I'll post pics if and when they show up

It would appear that, for whatever reason, this company has become a VERY UNRELIABLE vendor. It doesn't matter if their intent is 'honorable', or not. They apparently cannot deliver goods that have been ordered - and paid for - in anything approaching a reasonable timeline, nor are they responsive to customer communications in anything approaching a reasonable timeline.

Earlier reviews, from 2010 -2013, were very positive. More recent experiences appear to be quite negative.
