I've seen it intermittently as well. I have also noticed at times the place to post has been missing (not "reply to post"). I go back to the home page and back to the thread and now I can reply.

Kinda ironic, hit like on this because I've had both these issues occur randomly, and I had to confirm that I really wanted to like it

Yo, @The Chairman, I gotta tell you. this confirmation of "like" and wanting to enter a post when there is no input area on the thread until after you refresh the page is starting to get pretty old and annoying. I know how attuned you are to what I think :) But, others may also find it annoying.

It's been several days since I've had a problem with either issue. Thanks, the missing reply box was really frustrating.

Figured someone ought to say thanks. I know it's common to have a number of folks gripe when stuff isn't working properly, but too few say thanks when it gets fixed.

So now I have conundrum. SB had become so slow with the "reply" not working and the "like" issue and just generally locking up so it was impossible to type anything that I finally installed an adblocker that stopped all those problems. I felt guilty doing it, but the site was pretty much nonfunctional so I decided to try it. Now that I know things are working again I should uninstall the adblocker, but I think I may have fallen in love.

Sometimes when the SB site gets slow or locks up, I find that it may be helpful to use a different browser. For instance if I am encountering problems with IE, I open it with Chrome, and the problems may disappear.

I use Chrome and really don't want to change back and forth.
