Of all I wish for, HR monitoring is near the bottom of the list.

Agreed. It's so far down my list it's not even on the list.

1. It adds variability to the process that destroys dive planning. If you are exerting on a dive, call the dive early or pad last stops.
2. Its something else to go wrong
3. Dive computers should be focused on what they NEED to do without bringing gimicks or potential for unknown impacts to algorithms. KISS.

By adding a HRM it would remove one of the things that make shearwater such good products. They are predictable, understood and reliable.

Shearwaters moto is : Powerful, Simple, Reliable.

HRM is none of those

My 2c, HRM should be in a different thread.

Yeah. Pretty sure few people might be interested as option. At least there are no o-ring failure xd.

Im doing around 14+ hours of various sport and I feel kinda interesting to have a track of my hr

What we can discuss ecen if I agree about all you said. 1 000 us $ for a product a bit more marketed for rec is costy. I would prefer code to unlock ean or trimix and have a bit close to Perdix cost. I plan my Trimix in 2 years so buying something not useable its not that interesting

Agreed.

I only brought it back up again as I wasn't aware of how underwater HRM 'works'.

Underwater HRM works almost identical to above water HRM except there is less sarcasm.

(Sorry. Those are my initials and all this talk of HRM struck me as funny)

His Royal Majesty? I never knew!

@Shearwater @tcoen, a question: In OC-Rec, can the standard screen's middle two rows be fully customised (excluding NDL)?

Currently in OC Rec, only the lower of the two middle rows can be customized. The upper middle row has the deco (NDL/Deco Stops/Safety Stop) information, and TTS. We do plan on allowing the TTS location to be customizable, for OC Rec mode only. However, the current firmware does not allow the TTS location to be customized.

Regards,
Tyler

That would be great. As a rec diver, I’ve never used TTS.
