I will say the largest tube of KY can lead to interesting looks and conversations both on and off the boat....

Said to be available in giant tubes as "veterinary lube."

I use billiard talc on all of my seals when it is being stored between dives, to enhance the longevity of the seals and prevent them from cracking and aging. When diving, I use suit juice and spray a little on the inside of the seal and my hands and I slide right through.

A small spray bottle of baby shampoo + water also works for me. I know you said you don't like to use talc but if you're looking for a good supplier I learned this from Steve Gamble.

Go to a NAPA auto store and buy 1lb container of Tire Talc. It will last you forever (well that's not true depending on how liberal you are with talc :)

My dive wife introduced me to this a couple of years ago.

Try to avoid the flavoured and tingly versions and the outer wrapper can be removed so it's in a transparent ish container.

Been using this on latex and silicone seals for several years now.

Are you sure she had diving in mind when she introduced you to it.

A small spray bottle of baby shampoo + water also works for me.

4 parts water, 1 part baby shampoo - also works great for mask defog.

I currently have a Santi with latex seals and the Sitech ring system, and I use talc on them so that my hands slide through easily when putting it on. Without it, it is a PITA. I don't like the talc, frankly, in large part because I am apparently too clumsy to use it effectively. I create a bit of a mess all too often. My big container of talc is nearly empty, and it is time for me to make a decision.

My first drysuit was a White's Fusion, and they insisted that the thing to use on wrist seals was Seal Saver. That does not exist any more as far as I know.

The other day I saw someone spray diluted baby shampoo into the seals before putting them on.

I have have heard of other people using KY Jelly.

What do you folks use with latex wrist seals?
I called McNett (now known as Gear Aid). . .

Apparently discontinued 5 1/2 years ago. . . The friendly guy in Gear Aid customer service said it was just food grade silicone.

This would appear to be a direct replacement. . . https://www.amazon.com/Trident-Grad...30117761&sr=8-17&keywords=food+grade+silicone

I'm like @Trailboss123. A bag of billiard's talc. Very cheap from Amazon.

However, I may change to what some of y'all have mentioned. Use the talc on the seals when putting the suit away. Use diluted baby shampoo for seal lube when donning/doffing. I keep a bottle of that in my dive bag anyway for use as anti-fog and wetsuit lube.

I assume baby shampoo is totally safe on silicone seals...?
