Hah! Actually, we did an Intro to NE diving last year in a torrential downpour. That's not so much of a concern. It's when the lifeguards won't let you do a surface swim because of the lightning...

Sorry I missed you this weekend! We ended up riding over with our friend who was getting his OW dives and we were kind of tied to his timetable. :(

The Lehigh Valley Dive Center was great! The staff were friendly and their rentals even came with air fills, so if we go back to Dutch Springs, we will definitely be using them again. They only charged us $33 for the whole weekend for 2 tanks, even though their website said it was $20/tank for the weekend. I questioned if they charged me correctly, but they said it was right?? Great shop, they saved us about $50 compared to what Dutch Springs would have charged.

All of that said, BRRR. Too dark and cold. I felt like the visibility was only decent before you hit the thermoclines, which depending on the place, seemed to be as shallow as 15 feet! I prefer Lake Phoenix. :outtahere:

Glad you liked Lehigh Valley Dive Center. I had the same positive experience years ago.

Yes, Dutch can be colder than the content of a witch's bra.
