No that's just basically how Aus media work...

Not!

You MUST be joking, or taking the piss!!!!!!!

They are just as sensationalism orientated, when it suits them - and oft as inaccurate - as the rest of 'them' at times. Been there, done that (well, had it done to me on more than one occasion actually), and have the scars to prove it.

However, this piece on Craig and Harry is VERY good, there's no doubt about that.

50/50  of course our media still goes with "If it bleeds it leads" but that was a very good piece..I do trust our media a lot more than other #fakenews sites tho ...

Been there done that got transcripts to prove it too ...

Count yourself lucky. There are zero news agencies that produce US news who I trust. You can try to form an idea by reading a left wing source and a right wing source and then try and decide what actually happened.. sometimes. The state of news is really bad over here.

Ain't that the truth!

Over here where I now live in Europe, we get, in English - CNN, BBC, some French news channel, Al Jazeera and RT (and a few non English speaking ones also).

If you surf through all that, then chuck it all in a blender you at least get a semblance of 'truth', or at least decent world wide news coverage, if not the truth. But at least it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than what you are unfortunately fed there in the old US of A (and I speak from experience having lived there and have 'kids' - yes, even when in their 40's their still 'kids' to their parents - living there still). Even the good old Ozzie TV news is way better than what you have to put up with in the US.

Oh well, I guess we should be out diving, not watching the news.:giggle:

Roz used to be the curator for EuroTek in Birmingham. Not sure she will be for the next one in December, but I have my suspicions since the rescue Team is to speak there ...
EUROTEK.2018 - Advanced Diving Conference

Say "thank you" to these guys might be an additional reason to be there

How does it make you feel that divers have become heros known around the world? It makes me feel warm and fuzzy and so proud! It’s also the only time friends and colleagues have initiated conversation with me about diving, something that they knew I did, but never cared to talk about before. I’m glad divers have been recognized.
