This is way beyond my pay grade. Someone with knowledge and experience with these newer regs will need to chime in.
Well, everything is working now....I cleaned out the Octo and it no longer flows...both breathe very well....I’m packing them up and taking them to COZ.

It would be interesting to know if it does have the positive pressure chamber like the earlier ones and bubbles and all.

When are you going to Cozumel?

I came across this in my quest. It's only for the second stage so it didn't answer my questions:

The write ups I ran across mentioned the dry bleed system on the reg. The pictures I see of that first only show one side of reg, and not that well, so I can't help there. I'm a long way from my reg so I can't help there, but I remember the rubber seal being smaller and unobtrusive unlike the old ones in the pics.

Have your buddy look for the bubbles once you get in the water. If you hear the air escape it is bleeding too much.
