I just don't log dives
Recently, my son got his Nitrox certification from NAUI. His card came in and it identified him as a "Nitrox Diver". I looked at my card, issued several years ago from NAUI, and discovered that my certification is "EANx Diver". Although this name change probably happened a long time ago, I just now found this interesting. Only guessing that with Nitrox becoming the more popular nomenclature, NAUI is merely keeping up with the times.

Wondering what other agencies call their certification and whether it has changed over the years.

Mine is from SSI, "Enriched Air Nitrox Diver 40". I guess SSI rings all the bells and whistles. I'm 59, when I hit 60 I hope SSI sends me a new "Enriched Air Nitrox Diver 60" card.

My PADI one is same as SSI. If they change the name (or did?), will I get a FREE new PADI card...…..They usually give them away free, don't they....

I'm assuming you know that EANx is an abbreviation for Enriched Air Nitrox diver. no?
