Greetings,

I have never dived in the Sea of Cortez, though I understand there is some wonderful diving to be had.

We are headed to Cabo Pulmo for perhaps 8-10 days after Christmas this year and will have two newly certified teenage divers in tow. They have only completed a few dives in some Bahamian bathwater, though they have snorkeled quite a bit in some deep water and current situations (Indonesia and Galapagos).

It sounds as if the weather, visibility and diving can be a bit sketchy the time of year we are going. Can you provide any thoughts? Worth schlepping our gear?

Many thanks for your input.

Bill

We were in Cabo Pulmo in March. Water temp was in the low 70's and I was warm in a 3 mil short and a farmer john of about the same thickness. Viz was about 40 ft and we did see bull sharks as well as reef fish. We're going back at the end of November. I like Cabo Pulmo....it's relaxed and laid back. The diving is just a plus for us.

......was just going to add that if you're not decided on the diving why don't you take your regs, masks and computers and rent the rest

Maybe I'll see you in Cabo Pulmo! I'll be there Nov 19 - 27!

Yes we may, who are you diving with?
no matter who you end up diving with, how about a meet up with my dive buddies at La Palapa post-dive?
Always there every day. They've been known to reserve a table for me when they know I'm in town! :-D
