Hi @tyrenzo ,

Turns out I'm going to Cebu in April. Still haven't figured out who I'll be diving with. Just settled on diving somewhere around Cebu (Cebu, Southern Leyte, Alona Beach, Malapascua).

Turns out im not going to Cebu anymore. Instead I'm going to El Nido + Coron.

If you are going to Palawan in April, best diving is a LOB to Tubbataha Reef. It's a 6 day trip and it's best diving in Philippines.

good questions and good advice here as usual. ask and it shall be answered. to save some money i suggest you ask here for internal travel tips and rely on the resorts the last mile if at all. keep in mind almost everyone here speaks english.

I've been on the Philippine Siren and Seadoors. I would recommend them both. I always travel last minute so availability and price is what I look for. Tubbataha is really popular so most people book way in advance. I prefer boats with less divers. Check if there is anything still available, start there.

Could you please recommend to me a good LOB there?
Many thanks!

Many thanks:wink:

I've already got my April 25-May 2 Tubbataha trip booked (on the Resolute) but am in a quandary as to where to go the week prior.

The 4-night seafari trip with Submariner would be perfect since it would give me a nice mix of El Nido and Coron diving. Unfortunately the timing is so tight (the seafari gets to port in Coron on Thursday AM and the Resolute departs on Thursday PM from Puerto Princesa) that there's no low-risk way to make the connection.

So I have to make a decision if I want to spend my 1st week in El Nido OR Coron since I can't figure out a way to do both in a week. Should I do El Nido? Coron? Extend a few more days and do both? Do something else on Palawan?

On prior trips I've had the opportunity to dive Puerto Galera (raves), Dumaguete/Apo (raves), Bohol/Alona/Balicasag (raves), Moalboal (raves), Malapascua (raves) but have skipped Anilao since I'm not a muck fanatic. I also skipped Boracay ('nuff said). Centrals has me pumped up about Southern Leyte but after looking at the logistics I think that a place like Maasin would have to be a trip of its own.

I'm totally open to suggestions. Thanks!

PS - There's one spot open on the Resolute. With the exception of the 1st transition trip, the rest of the season is sold out. As are most of the other Tubbataha boats. That's why borisphotosafari pointed out that you need to book well in advance.
