Hi guys,

We just put together a quick scooter video from all of the footage we've created over the past year. More like a commercial for Facebook advertising purposes, but still a fun video, so we thought we'd share it here.

Yeah it's an alien concept for me as well. But most of our customers do not have crotch straps with scooter d-rings.

That being said Divetech has had scooters for decades, the old Apollo ones, and now these, and none of them were ever tow-behind.

Every time I plan a trip to GC and I am going to be out your way I always talk about renting a scooter and trying it out. It would be perfect for your house reef getting out to you far wall. My style of diving though would be to use the scooter to jet out to the far wall but then I would want to put it down in the sand (assuming it was negative) and explore a small area in detail. I think I was advised that we could not do this. Still I may give it a try someday.

It's great for getting to the main wall. They are very slightly positively buoyant. If you were to let one go, it would slowly drift upwards.

Unfortunately our list of things you cannot do on the scooter waiver is getting longer and longer, as people find new ways to challenge us. Letting go of the scoter is one of these things we prohibit.

Don't forget to only wear your speedos when using the scooter.

These are the aqua prop models. Great scooter but more moderate thrust than full blown tech models. Easy to hold by hand. No crotch strap is needed. I tried one out last year at a demo event. nice to see more places renting scooters.

Grand Cayman is great on a scooter. Get in at West Bay Beach boat ramp, head straight out to the reef, turn left to go to the Kittiwake or turn right to cruise up around the corner. Great for dives on the north side also, but probably need something with more thrust and range that those. So much better than boat diving GC.
