Anyone know of any restaurants open on Christmas Day? We tried walking over to El Moro last year only to walk right past as it was closed. Did find somewhere nearby and it was nice to walk the back streets looking at the Christmas lights.

This will be our first Christmas here, but with 7 cruise ships in port, I would think it wouldn't be too hard to find a place for lunch, but dinner might be dicey.

Some are closed, El Moro being one of them, but most are open. You will not find it hard to find a meal. I have been there Christmas many times and will be there again in 4 days.

Christmas day is likely to be fairly slow, as many people are up late for mass and family dinners then spend the day with their families. There will certainly be places open.

Christmas is on Tuesday this year so must restaurants will be open at least by late afternoon. The more
Touristy ones around the waterfront will most likely open for lunch with all of the cruise ships in town.

Christmas Eve most places shut down by 8:00 or 9:00 and the nicer places have special Christmas Eve menus and require reservations. there are always a few exceptions of course :)

You won’t have trouble finding a place to eat.

As others have pointed out it might be more of an issue on Christmas Eve than on Christmas Day.

That would be correct . All are open Christmas Eve but the better ones you need a reservation or they are packed.

We usually go to new especias on Christmas eve but this year we got the shaft from Air Canada and our flight is on the 24th and so early we have to be up at 3am. To keep our diving on Christmas day tradition pretty sure we will be in bed by 7pm.

Do the Dive shops leave a little later on Christmas Day or is 0730 departure as usual?
