You know, when you guys moderate a post by moving it to another forum
It happens most often when a thread gets moved to the Pub and you aren't a "regular".

Don’t make me start a post about wanting to get a pub card, asking which agency is better at it! :)

I am a rec.scuba denizen, because of that, I have both a much thicker internet skin as well as serious scar tissue. May need counselling AKA Scubaboard, for the rest of my life.

You know, when you guys moderate a post by moving it to another forum we can no longer view the posts. I've several times gotten a notification that a post was moved, but when I click the link to see what post it was talking about, I'm told that I don't have access to see it. Therefore if you put some comment about why it was moved, we would never know.

My alerts only go back to last Thursday so I can't provide you an example. My point was simply that maybe there is a disconnect?
I think you’re getting the move notification when the moderators move the report from open to in process or from in process to closed in the back room where only the moderators have access. There is a box that has to be unchecked so that the reporter does not get the notification and sometimes that is missed.

As a follow-up to the previous post, I looked at the last 100 of your posts and none of them are in restricted forums. My feeling is that Pedro is correct.

Truer words were never spoken.

I’ve been moderated a few times. I deserved it each time that I can remember. I’ve gone at it with one individuals and I regret ever corresponding with that person. I’ve even had someone threaten to sue SB because of my statements.

I think overall the mods due a decent job. I haven’t always agreed with moderation that I’ve seen (and I’m not referring to myself), but I think Pete has recruited a mostly fair minded group of people.

Remember that if you are not a SB supporter, you get a infinitely greater return for what you pay,

Uh, counselor... Have you recently checked your position in SB?

:)

I've been moderated a time or two before being invited onto the Staff.

Nonetheless, if you think there isn't a lot of moderation/counselling of one another back there . . .think again.

rec.scuba was a cool but cruel place for awhile. It died a horrible death due to lack of moderation and deservedly so.

No one has been moderated more than Pete because he is our oldest moderator. I have been moderated plenty. I expect it to continue. Last time was yesterday.
