All the computer nerds have ditched Adblock Plus, in favor of uBlock Origin - Wikipedia After adblock plus started allowing ads, from their partners, by default.

Thanks for the tip, I wasn't aware there was a viable alternative. I've been using an old version of adblock+ from back before they sold out.

I wasn’t brave, just annoyed. We work in an open environment now. If clicking on local news items can cause those types of ads to pop up, it’s definitely a lesson to be more careful.

Or maybe stay off SB, Yahoo Mail, etc at work LOL.

Being a supporter used to get rid of all the ads, but but we still get some of the ads now days. I can't remember if it's a bug, something related to the xenforo move or what. I reported it once or twice but ended up having to use adblock+ to get rid of the last of the ads.

Still, it gets rid of most of the ads on the site.
