Read Deep Six's write-up on their web site on the scribble...no kits...when they're gone...they're gone...Deep Six's write-up not mine...I may not have a crystal ball to see into what Deep Six does...but I can certainly read what they print...

Maybe they've changed their protocol since your purchase...or maybe you got a special...

I'll be surprised if Deep Six is still viable 48/64 months from now...then we'll all be looking for another inexpensive brand to replace them...has we all have in the past with similar ''Taiwan'' made brands...

Enjoy your regs...
Scribble Series 1st Stage

a simple way to find out if they are the same is look at the schematics, if they compare then they ARE the same

Which brand selling Taiwanese rebrand regs has stopped operating? Hog is still around last time I checked.

Since you have a problem reading I’ll post their actual description here for you

“Due to the ridiculously low price point, this regulator is not eligible for a free first service like our Signature Series. However, if you'd like us to service it for you at any time, we'll gladly do so (recommended 2-year / 200 dive service interval.) Standard Deep 6 regulator warranty applies. Normal servicing fees will apply. (Currently $40 for 1st stage, $30 for 2nd stage.)”

Again you’ve clearly proved you have NO clue what your talking about. No where on their site does it say kits are not included. It DOES say you won’t get the free first SERVICE like you do the signature line. That means you’ll have to pay to send the unit in, because the signature line includes your first service FREE. That has nothing to do with the parts kits which are included in every purchase of a 1st or 2nd stage regardless of the model. I purchased my set right after they were released for BF so no policy’s were changed.

As far as your notion that deep 6 won’t be around much longer...... again just shows you really have no clue about the company, the people behind the company, their products or what they stand for. Unfortunately you have uneducated people like yourself spreading bad information regarding their products and offerings. We have to correct bad information on this site.

No need. Deep 6 personally confirmed in their section that the scribble and dgx model are not the same. Considering the produce then all I think they would know best. Plus since the scribble is a new design of their the schematics haven’t been finished yet. The guy who made them for the signature line has to create the one for the scribble

DB...Either way...the DGX Deep Six version...''scribble'' or not...is a better buy...with full support/as good performance...even without the orange dry-box...and complimentary service kits...which most purchasers are not qualified/experienced/tools and equipment on hand...to install anyway...

The Deep Six black/scribble version has fixed hose positioning...where the DGX version has a turret with an additional bottom turret LP hose fitting...ideal for doubles/sidemount...making the DGX version a ''that much better buy...

There are no complimentary service kits available with the Deep Six fixed scribble version...limited stock available...with no re-stocking...once they're gone...they're gone...they were a ''Black Friday'' add-on special...

Deep Six has had stock problems for a long time...DGX never has stock shortages...at least nothing that lasts longer than a few days...why wait months...it's only a scuba regulator...DGX/Scribble/Signature...red potato...white potato...brown potato...semantics...

W...
we will continue to stock kits for the scribble.

Stock issues are because sales are more than we ever anticipated, and a newish company can't afford to buy 4x what we bought and sold and lead time is 120 days for regs.. so.. yeah, we are lagging but have orders in for regs to ship to us every 60 days starting end this month. That should resolve things.

Thanks for posting the thread that 100% confirms the deep 6 items come with all the parts kits. I accept your apology

Sorry I stand corrected...still does not explain...quote...when they're gone...they're gone...I've sent a note to DS...asking them to elaborate...

I've always used DGX as a product stability gauge...if Mark decides to drop a line/brand...there is generally a pretty good reason...

I like Deep 6...I have multiple sets...with another set in transit...but having said that...nothing surprises me in this industry...stability on the grand scale is a rare comodity...just when you think you've settled on a brand...the company either folds or is sold to a salvage scavenger like Huish...

I no longer shop ''brands''...the best product for me is the one that serves my needs and is priced right...

I said many times...DGX serves me very well...

Best...

Here’s the comment by deep 6 regarding the scribble and dgx being completely different designs as well.

I bought in the scribble as a special product for Black Friday that i could offer at a killer price. That is all.. no hidden secret agendas. Thus when gone, gone comment.
