Be advised there is an adult green that is very persistant at grabbing Lion Fish off a spear. I think it's the one that was over at Akumel and documented a few years back. It is not shy and was pestering the various divers near Columbia yesterday. I had my lunch, 3 medium pez leons, spines already trimmed, on the spear when I got mugged from above and behind, no shyness involved. At first I thought how cool until I realized how powerful he/she was. It sat on the sand and crunched through my fish like there was no tomorrow. A medium sized mutton snapper went in and tried to get a head and with the flick of a fin, knocked it clean out of the way.

Sounds like the same one that was pestering everyone in August. Guy had to drop one from his stringer because the turtle would not give up. I have a clip of it biting my Gopro during one safety stop. On one dive a guy had his finger nipped by it. It investigated every diver during the safety stop.

Yep, he's becoming a major pest. Hangs out at Columbia, nickname "Thumper".

I dove Columbia yesterday and we had a couple guys spearing Lion fish. Never saw the pesky turtle. I'll ask them tomorrow if they have seen this guy. Cool photo!

Yep that is the same one. I have some close up video and the markings on it's throat are the same.
