DOC - since you asked, our group is relatively young and still bachelors. We typically like to find a destination where we can dive a handful of days (preferably 4 tank days), either consecutive days or sprinkled into the trip. The other half of the trip we'd like to be near a nice beach and hit the town at night. Usually our group tends to go where the most girls are , which means late night dancing.

We do like the live aboard experience however. Locations with good live aboard options combined with late night hotspots for the remainder of the trip are great. We did a Khao Lak live aboard in february and spent the rest of our time in Phuket.

Sharm, that’ll do just fine. Can’t miss.

Diving: long day trips, three day outings, fairly interesting diving including sharky sharks, plus a get-your-ticket-punched wreck, the amazing Thistlegorm...no one regrets doing that one!

Party town, you could say that Most of the Eastern European critters speak fair enough English as well as US Dollars. Wonderful inviting clubs, rooftop shisha bars, all that stuff, including McDonalds. Pyramids just a bus ride away.

Puerto Galera, Philippines....There is Sabang. Lots of night life and girls there......LOL.

Bali, Indonesia would also be a good option.

Sabang for great diving and perfect dive ops. Puerto Galera is about 12 miles West and is what one might politely call “twitchy”. You only have to go 20 yards West from Sabang Beach into the Ville to rent as much twitchy as you might need. Bargains on both of your needs.

Not very near to diving, so no “split days” (night lights to dark nights) but if I were young and adventurous, what a great target!

don't be dissing Chandler, since they stopped crossing the sheep on Chandler Blvd. you can now find a drink after 9PM. Nearest average diving is 4 hrs. away in MX though.

This is an off-the-wall suggestion and I have never been there - but the Canary Islands off of Spain have "party town" reputations and they do offer some scuba diving there.
