Some interesting bits of information in here Global Helium Summit 2018 closes Might be a bit biased by the folks selling helium, but still ...

Some key take aways:
- projection that US based fields will keep producing up to 2021, although output is expected to drop
- several new processing plants are under construction or in planning (Renergen (2019), Qatar 3 (2020), Irkutsk (2021) and Amur (2021-2026)). Some of these are very large (worlds second largest gas processing facility among them)
- The first new source (Renergen in ZA) will come online this year: http://www.miningweekly.com/article...-to-export-helium-by-2019-renergen-2018-03-12
- Amur (Siberia/RU) will become the world's second largest with 60 million m3 helium output per year Amur Gas Processing Plant

So based on this, it looks like while there may be a price spike, the world will not run out of helium, and DIR divers are saved from extinction ;-)

Thanks for sharing this. It does feel like prices will continue to rise until 2021 and after that US will be paying "import prices" and we do not know what those would be.

Once you have those figured out you can make your billions on helium futures lol
US prices will mirror the rest of the world, like I said in post #6
Currently in the $2-2.50cf range. Add in some inflation and ever increasing demand and $2.50 to 4 is as reasonable a guess as any

Well I suppose we can try Hydrogen or neon. I dont think Methane and Ammonia are good substitutes...

The both light up pretty good given the proper input.
