Wow, that left a mark. Glad you are here and able to post about it.

Do you think the hood might have muffled the sound of the command he gave you?
Nope. I always open up one ear holding the hood away to hear. And I asked twice if it's ok to go. He got irritated when I asked again.

Wow Jenny, you're lucky to be alive! Joined the Forum on Monday and get you head taken off on Thursday, thats gotta be a record.

I hope that you heal up well, come to an understanding through your lawyer with your employer that bankrupts her, and that the DM dies soon. If your employment situation is not fully legal have the lawyer file charges for knowingly employing an illegal, which would probably put your employer out of business for a long time and grant you an income while you are sick. Without a lawyer you won't get a nickel.
Wishing you the very best,

Michael
Michael thank you! Sorry I didnt say it was 4 years ago. Scars still hurt tho

Ouch. Glad you'll be OK. At a minimum, your employer should pay your medical bills, I would think, in addition to lost wages.
That's only thanks to DAN

Well, we are glad to see you back again. 4 years ago?

LOL, I've been trying to find you. Even reached out to Panda in Maldives, lol.

Shall we assume you made a timely escape from Grenada or are you still there with another company?

How did you end up under the boat and in the path of the prop? If you roll properly and are in control, even if the boat is put in gear, the diver should not be hit. Did you enter the water in a positive bouyant condition and were therefore out
of control after entry?

She's an instructor with 2500 dives, what do you think?

Easy to do if the driver restarts the engine and switches into reverse. Pretty damn hard to do if, as originally posted, there is no current and the engine is off.

I really don’t know, that is why I ask. She did not mention that the captain backed down on her.

It is all in her first post.

I heard something about by putting the motor in gear (either forward or backward), the propeller would suck any buoyant object and shear it.

The learning point for me here is to not back roll, just fall on my back and keep my feet against incoming object, i.e., the boat. Having air in BCD will keep me afloat & above the propeller.
