Key Largo in June, who should I dive with?

Another option for a solo diver with Rainbow is to hire a private guide. A great option if you plan on diving the Spiegel or Duane. Very reasonable and provides the opportunity to dive your air and your plan. I have always found their customer service and focus on safety to be top notch.

It really depends on what your wanting to do. Rainbow reef was great, but when you get a DM you are in a group. When you go with Horizon you hire a DM for you personally and the dive is controlled by when you are ready to go up, not when the group is ready to go up.

In my experience I have had longer dives with Horizon. Rainbow is great and I like everyone but the dives are a bit shorter, they are more conservative.

If you have a buddy with you and you go with Rainbow you do not have to go with the guide so you are not limited by others in the group, same with Horizon.

My last experience in Key Laredo was with Rainbow Reef...their GM is a personal friend of mine. They have several options that others have already mentioned.

About six years ago I dove with Sea Monkeys (based on SB reviews) They ae a small husband/wife & boat captain outfit. They showed my wife and I such a personalized good time. I highly recommend them. They are in Islamorada, not Key Largo.

Rainbow Reef and Quiesence are my usual go-to charters. RR generally has good service with larger packs and Q is good service with smaller packs. Depends on what you’re feeling.

Both Rainbow and Horizon have really good wide sturdy ladders and a open transom for giant stride entry. With gear on I weigh around 400 pounds and it holds me fine
