I have the D4i for 8years already... is there a good enough reason why i should upgrade to the newer d5i? i know the screen looks better... but functionwise?

I would wait for their new D6I version, it's much nicer for scuba with the extra nitrox mixes.

Do you mean D7i ?

I have seen it in person but haven't dive with it yet.

Screen - Coloured - not as bright as i though it would be - but would be sufficient to see the info in a wreck.

Functionality - very similar to D4/d6

User interface - An upgrade from D4/D6 - 3 buttons - need to get use to that.

Algorithm - New algo - Suuunto Rgbm fused - better than the algo in D4/D6(what i heard from)

Material - no change - not even a sapphire glass for a dive computer unlike in D6i or Dx

Strap - you can change the strap with the new quick adjust system - could be good or bad depend on your perspective.

Battery life - According to Suuuto home page, 6-12 hrs - need to be sent back to Suuunto shop to replace the rechargable battery now - does not mention about when should you send the computer back to change the battery.

Take the opportunity to join the Shearwater clan.
