So, I have the Edge Hog 315 Lumen Mini LED light. This light is perfect for a specific application I use it for, but I'm having a hard time getting replacement o-rings. I bought it from Piranha Dive MFG. and despite talking to Randy and sending a couple emails over two weeks I'm not getting a response. So I called Edge and got their voicemail and left a message, sent them an email as well... Crickets. WTF? I literally need 20 cents worth of o-rings as the originals were worn out and finally tore. I tried the local Ace Hardware with no success.

I get it, you don't make a lot of money off service parts, but come on, it's par for the course if you want to keep customers happy.

So now here I am. Hoping a fellow ScubaBoard'er can help me out with a couple freaking o-rings. I got a big trip coming up and I need the light in service.

Can anyone help?

Mate go to the oring shop or the bearing shop, or you can measure inside diameter and thickness with a ruler
get a few googled orings online both sides of what you measured, buy another torch DRIS is quick, I love DRIS.

just been dyeing some of the drysuit glue I bought from Mike a bit back, black.
This is the glue to buy!!!

You been sniffin’ any of that glue?

Unfortunately I pitched the o-rings as I was under the impression I was going to receive replacements. I could buy the light again, but the principle of doing so irks me. We're talking 2x $0.10 o-rings and a $0.55 cent stamp. Less than a buck, but I'd buy more not to have to deal with the issue again.

Quit your whining and pick up the phone and call Edge-Hog their phone number is on their website and they answer it. They typically provide good customer service.

Not sure why you expect(ed) that they were gonna send you new o-rings, and it was silly that you did not bother to measure the ones you had before you tossed them. What is more egregious is that you seem to be blaming the company for the fact that your light is not ready for your upcoming trip.

Own your problem and figure out a resolution.

OP tossed the o-rings before considering this as a possible solution.

There are only a few standard thickness of o-rings. I am not sure but doubt Edge-HOG went with a customized o-ring solution for their products. One can measure the diameter of the groove the o-rings sit in to figure out what internal diamter one needs and then from memory approximate the thickness needed. Or purchase the diameter needed in a few different thicknesses and use the one that looks/works best.

For hardness you will most likely need 70 to 75 shore/durometer.
