Any updates on this? Was thinking about setting up a Sept trip but depending on how bad it is I might try somewhere else this time.

It is serious in that they do not know the cause but I would not cancel a trip here because of it. I don’t want to understate the problem but I wouldn’t cancel either.

In three years this disease spread from mid Florida both north and south.
 
Pretty! But not what I have observed in Quintana Roo.
It's not a localized phenomenon. Also, observe the smaller ups and downs vs. the overall trend. That ocean temperatures are rising is indisputable, and all reefs are being affected.
 
My Perdix read 84 degrees at shallower depths, 83 deeper than 30'. Not sure how accurate it is.
