Going to Oman end of September and hoping to get recs for a good dive operator. I will be staying at the Grand Hyatt, but I will have a car. Hoping to see some whale sharks, so will probably what to do most my diving at Daymaniat Islands. Thanks!

I usually dive with these guys but from Mussanah not Muscat as Mussanah is closer to Dubai.
I would suspect that from Muscat it's closer to the "Aquarium" site which is one of the more likely spots for whale sharks in September.
Haven't stayed in the Grand Hyatt for years, really nice hotel.
