Is this a good choice for a cheap and best night dive light? I might even diy to wrap it on right hand wrist or on my head like a spot light!
Thx

1) Effectively no warranty because you have to send it back to China for service. Shipping cost will exceed product value
2) Requires an expensive oddball battery (GoPro 3 compatible)
3) Wide angle, low intensity light
4) Does not fit a standard Goodman handle and is an awkward shape to clip off with a bolt snap
I'd buy a DGX one for $60...
I have 3 of the DGX600 and one DGX800. Lights include a standard 18650 battery (or two) and suitable (but basic) charger.
You will need additional batteries for many if not most use cases.
DGX offers excellent warranty service. I got a light that flooded due to a defect and they took care of it right away, no questions.
Way better light...better burn time...much brighter...still cheap.
1000 Lumen Dive Light
1) It's not really 1000 lumens. The math doesn't work given the power available from C batteries
2) Why, in this day and age, would you want a light that uses C batteries? Rechargeable ones are available but expensive and considered an oddball item and do not fit in many chargers. One-time batteries are available but again are a small and declining part of the market, and the cost over many dives is high. I have a flashing "strobe" light that uses C batteries and I now realize it was an unwise purchase. Wish I got something that used AA or 18650 batteries for which many good rechargeable options are available
3) Expensive when you add the warranty
A few people have suggested this to me. It's Flood / Video light which I really like even for non photo illumination, but some may want a spot light for general diving use. Handheld or Ball mount. 20K lumens for < $100.

1) You're going to need 4 18650 batteries and a charger to make that work which will set you back another $60 unless you already are set up with them.
2) Overheats if used out of the water. I find that it is a great convenience to be able to grab a dive light if I just need a flashlight for something
3) Will not fit standard bolt snaps or Goodman handles
4) Doubtful warranty support
