I believe that my brother may have done the same thing, with very similar results.

We booked the second week also. Now that we are "retired", with me running my small business from home, I am not longer unable to take more than 1 week off, as I was for @40 years.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of you I have not seen in years, and meeting some new friends.

Not to Roatan. I will be at the Surge in Little Cayman. We also have a cruise scheduled in 2020 plus our annual week in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach ... for some odd reason my employer won't allow me unlimited vacation time

I wasn't being critical, I was jealous. No harm in dialing early whether you intended to or not--if someone answers it is their problem for not following the rules. Besides, there is space available, so it does not matter--nobody got burned.

I booked us the week before. The week after had only 1 room left with AC. The remainder are hill standard with no AC.

It still blows my mind that they even have rooms which don't have AC down there. Seems like it would be totally miserable.

Good thing my wife and I both called to make sure we got a room with AC for both weeks ( I hope double-teaming isn't a rule violation ).
