I have 20 dives on the three mil and it is fantastic. I have only one short dive on the 7 mil so no real experience but it seems just as nice as the three, which is to say great.

I love the suit design, features and price, and I hate to be "that guy", but I can't do the orange trim. I understand it from a marketing perspective, but if you guys ever do an all-black or black/grey Ninja suit, I'll put my money where my mouth is.

You mean a review like this one? I have 30 or so dives on mine and love it. Warmer than most 3 mils. Pockets are easy to get to and use. Still need to get the pee zipper and ankle zippers in mine but absolutely satisfied and will recommend to students as their first wetsuit purchase.

Deep 6 Wetsuit Review

Buy one...you'll be happy you did.

One reason these suits are warmer than the equivalent thickness suits by other manufacturers is because they seal well around the wrists and ankles and don't exchange water in and out very quickly. For that reason I will be adding pee zippers as I did with my 5 mil waterproof suit. It is also water tight but at a substantially higher price.

From a warmth perspective only, wouldn’t the absence of a pee zipper further enhance this feeling?

I have one dive on mine, in warm Thai waters and it seemed great, but no real comparison basis yet. @RayfromTX has a couple more on his, maybe he can chime in...

How was the 3mm in Thailand? I'm from Thailand so I do a lot of dives there. In the market for a new wetsuit.

It was really warm and comfortable. Very little flushing due to the arm and neck seals. Pockets really nice as well.

Knees and crotch and shoulders reinforced so should last a long time.

So mine just came in today. Overall the fit/finish of the suit is great. I'm 5'9 and 195lbs for reference. I''ll be curious to see how it works underwater. Since I'm absolutely an XLS in sizing the arms/legs are bit too long. Figuring out if its best to just role the extra or maybe trim it off. My biggest concern is the neck seal area. The chest area fits as it should but the neck is relatively loose so I'm expecting a high water exchange rate via the lack of any appreciable neck seal. I can easily get 1-2 fingers around the neck hole (I can't honestly call it a seal based on how loose it is). Based off the rest of the suit there is no way a large would fit, so it's mostly the right size.

That could get interesting. If I try to flush my suit after a dive by stretching the neck to let water in, all the water runs to the legs and stays. From my knees down, the suit is freakishly huge from the water trapped in them. You have to bend over and stretch the ankles to drain the water out. It makes for a pretty interesting sight coming up the ladder or on the shore after a dive. My suit will go to terrapin for a pee zipper and ankle zippers over the winter.

Great suits!
