Hi, caan i as a ssi diver..... And whNt to stay ssi divee. Rake oadi aowd? Reason being there isnt one around. But tons if other ssi certs.
 
If I understand your question correctly you are an SSI OW diver and want to take a PADI Advanced OW class because it is more convenient? The answer is yes, below the Divemaster level the agencies accept each others certifications so there is generally no problem in doing that.
 
I have a NAUI open water card, and a PADI AOW card. Am I still a NAUI diver? What difference does it make? When I show a card to a boat operator, they only want to see the highest level of certification.
 
as stated above, yes, you can take whatever padi course you like. or any other agency. but pls remember....the padi advanced ow course is NOT the same as the ssi advanced certification.
