Coast guard rescue team was heard describing how poor the conditions were. ‘If it weren’t for the size of his “D”SMB, we’d have never found them.’

He'd have to paint it red with waterproof ink. Of course he'd have some explaining to do on a regular basis. Honey, I'm a SCUBA diver. Never mind, it's a looooong story, I'll tell ya later..

@SharPll Allow me to apologize....I don't mean to make light of the situation as I'm sure it gets to be quite uncomfortable and extremely frustrating for both of you. Its just one of those things that's too unusual and funny not to poke fun at. Please allow me to express my sympathy for your husband.

I have very limited tolerance for cruelty, and that was not my intention if this is truly a medical issue related to Nitrox with the exception that in point one below, the fix is right there.

My issues with the thread are:
1) If I was diving Nitrox and I honestly thought it was giving me or a loved one medical issues of any kind, I’d stop diving the Nitrox. It is not even close to a rec requirement. I would NOT plan my next trip using a product that I already know ahead of time gives me or a loved one medical issues.
2) In the OP’s second post it was implied that they were doing the wild thing three times a day to relieve the pressure. And they were both sore.
2a) Not to be crass but it doesn’t take two people getting sore if we’re just going through the mechanics of “de-pressurizing the vessel.”
2b) go to a hospital/medical facility.
3) If having less nitrogen in his system causes uncontrollable erections (that’s all EAN really is), his medical ID bracelet should have a warning to keep him off of O2. The results could be catastrophic.
3) All of the correct procedures have been provided earlier in the thread. Test without Nitrox. Test other locations. Test with other buddies.

In an awesome world, OP comes back and says that after testing they just found out that he likes the way OP looks in their swimsuit. New lines of communication open up in their relationship. An SO appreciating their SO. All positives.

So the hypothesis here--if there is one--is that a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen that is enriched with oxygen so that the nitrogen percentage is actually LESS than the air we breathe at the surface, causes MORE nitric oxide to be produced in the body than would be produced if the person were breathing air? Even if nitric oxide production is related to "bubbling," wouldn't there be LESS nitric oxide produced because enriched air presumably reduces bubbling?

Have any medical doctors posted here yet?

I wonder what Duke has?
