Well, we are here! But already my husband lost his Paralens camera. It snapped off his bcd on entry at Columbia Deep— in the sandy shallows at the drop point. It’s small and black and looks more like a torch/light than a camera. He can describe what’s on it very well. Any suggestions on the best place to post this and I can start a thread?

New thread on this forum and on Lost & Found forum both.

Contact any insurance company who might cover the loss including trip & homeowners now to see if they need a police report or whatever for the claim. If you don't have coverage, my sympathies, but learn from the loss. This is an excellent policy for such Personal Articles Policy - State Farm®

Thanks. I will.

I don't know if this was mentioned earlier but you will still need to fill out a CUSTOMS form on arrival. They handed them out at the airport this time, not on the plane. Bring a pen.

Actually, you can do this this 3 days in advance of your arrival: Inicio
Edit: Forgot to mention that on the customs form, if you are flying into Cozumel, you have to select Cancun in the first box and then Cozumel in the checkpoint box. Why? Who knows!

For immigration forms, you can do those 30 days before your arrival: Instituto Nacional de Migración - Forma Migratoria Múltiple

Way more convenient... particularly when your airline doesn't have the rights forms and everyone is standing in line while also trying to fill them out

Edit2: Forgot to also mention that these pages are available in both Spanish and English.

Looks like Cancun is the regional base for Aduana and Cozumel would be the port within the region.

Did you just print these on plain 8.5x11 paper?

I didn't know about this option. Thanks for letting us know!
It worked well. The agent used a ruler to split it half, then gave me a piece to save and turn in on departure. You still need a pen to fill out the customs form after that.

Yes 8.5 x 11. For the immigration form, double sided. Leave the setting "flip on the long edge". All the customs and immigration officers have metal rulers now to tear them for you. They also seem to prefer these forms as all of your information is already online and available to them on screen when they scan your forms. United didn't have any customs forms on board when we flew in 10 days ago.
