It has been brought to my attention that someone, somewhere thinks this Go Fund Me is fraudulent. I guess this should be in the "Let no good deed go unpunished" department. this is for real. This is for the families of the deceased. We do need to figure out how to distribute it fairly, but as a community we feel we need to take care of our own. We are working to bring even more funds and possibly matching funds. These are our tribe, our brothers and sisters, our own. We don't want to leave this to anyone else.

I concur, it's hard with tragedies like this. Also the information isn't correct or updated as some of the divers have been recovered. An actual gofundme should have the current information. I think there might be better ways to help the efforts.

I reached directly out to the organizer of the gofundme to verify.

@myshadeofred, if you're going to offer criticism, then you need to follow up with a solution. Saying "there might be better ways to help the efforts." is not a solution. Please let us know how you plan to offer something better.
DAN has started a fund and 100% goes to the families.
