Just received my A6xxxx + 4" dome to use with my new A6400 and 16-50 mm lens. When I opened the box I found an unlabeled bag of parts (not the bag with the a6000 conversion parts, which was labeled). I recognized the 16-50 mm replacement zoom ring, (the 10-18 mm was already installed inside the housing), and figured out that the round thing was a rubber viewfinder ring. But it also came with this square rubber collar (?). Can anyone tell me what it is or is for? (I got the camera working OK in the housing without it.)

and finally, when I opened up the housing the first time, this part was floating around loose inside. Can anyone tell me what it is for? Thanks!

The first part is the LCD hood, it attaches to little plastic pegs on the outside. It detaches fairly easily, hence the lanyard to keep it from floating away. The second part fits into a groove on either upper left or lower left and supports the corresponding camera corner.

I will be using the Sony 30mm Macro Lens and am curious if anyone uses a Zoom Ring with a prime lens. The zoom ring won't be useful as a focus ring for the 30mm, however it will block extraneous light from the internal flash from getting into the housing port and possibly causing image quality problems.

If it blocks "extraneous light form the internal flash" it might be helpful. However, at least with the 16-50 mm where it is a must, I found that it also make a littlet more difficult to sit the camera into the housing than without it.
