Does DRIS price match? I've found better deals than what they have on their website at other sites, even with shipping factored in.

Yes, they price match. But not on tanks.

I order bits and bobs from other places (primarily DGX), but DRIS gets the vast majority of my scuba dollars. A lot of time I can just walk in and pick up what I want (after a phone call to make sure it’s in stock), they’re awesome folks, and I like supporting my local shop. How could I NOT support someone who promotes Great Lakes diving? Frankly, the cost difference is minimal to me much of the time. I’m a regular, so I do get breaks on some things.

If you want steel tanks, I’ve got a source in the Detroit area who runs a small scuba side business and is awesome to work with. Let me know and I’ll pass along his contact info.

You guys have to get away from the CraigsList mindset. Most of the crap in my local area is junk.

Either hit up the for sale areas here or check out the various scuba gear sale groups on FB.

I tried to PM you, I would appreciate the contact info. Thanks

I plan on buying 2 sets of equipment soon (BCD, regulators, gauges/computer) and was wondering if there are usually good Black Friday deals for packages and are they worth waiting for?

Unless you need your stuff sooner, you'll probably be able to save some money if you wait for black Friday.

Keep in touch with your local dive shops to see what they offer. Also watch the big online guys like divers-supply.com Leisurepro.com and scuba.com

Have you decided what you want or are you just looking for the lowest priced package deal? You might sometimes do better price wise if you buy items separately.
