Hi everyone. We just finished work on a project to install some shore signage at Buddy Dive Resort last month. We wanted to get your feedback on the concept (see images). Do you find this interesting? Useful...or not? Decent help with dive briefings?
We're looking at expanding the concept and potentially install more maps like these at other dive sites around Bonaire and on other islands, to help divers and snorkelers get the most out of their experience and improve safety where possible. Would love your feedback. Thanks!

Wonderful! Your dive site cards have serviced me well elsewhere.

A great idea and a big thank you for doing this service. A definite help for newbies and those of us that only get back to Bonaire every blue moon.

+1, these reef maps are awesome and tremendously helpful. Looks like the ones in the Bonaire Reef Smart guide, which was invaluable on my first trip to Bonaire.

Hi Ian -picked up your Bonaire Reef Smart book in the Spring and WOW! Very helpful, plan my dive, parking tips, access help, suggested route, landmarks to look for, species lists, etc, The graphics are amazing. Can't wait to return to Buddy (come on March!) and check this giant version out. And if you've not seen the book, do pick up a copy. The newer divers I was with loved being able to see the site for post dive debrief.

OH, Ian is one of the authors of that book! Didn't even realize.

@Ian Popple -- I also want to commend you on your work on that book. Learning all of the new sites was intimidating at first as a newcomer to Bonaire, and it helped me and my buddy out a lot. I remember we dove The Lake before picking the book up, and once we realized how much we had missed we went back and dove it again!

Thanks for the kind words

Glad to see it and I think it'll be helpful, especially to new divers, those new to the island, and to open water classes where the instructor can use it to help them understand a planned course of the dive.

I, too, recently picked up a copy of your book off Amazon, and it looks like a winner. I especially like the drone photos of the shore sites themselves, helping show entries and exits. For the first time, I think I might be able to figure out how to get to Something Special. Hope to find out...!

Richard.
