This is why y'all need to stay in your lane (diving related businesses). You aren't going to sell movies worth a damn.

All you have to do is report the thread, some friendly moderator (not a secret field agent) will come along and fix things right up.

Where's the fun in that!?!

I'll just say that I ordered gear from VDH when it was in stock and never had a problem. Great products and Bryan is super responsive; I vote for more folks to buy from him, not only good equipment but passionate about diving and preserving history.

Yeah, like loosenit2 said.

Me I just rebuilt a USD Royal Aqua Master with VDH parts and Herman's tools all ordered and received on time. Out of stock is well, out of stock, if you order an out of stock item no magic happens that makes it in stock.

Is Ass a censored word.
Lets find out.
No, but AFAIK ******* is.

Edit: yup, a-hole is censored. Arsehole isn't, though.

Of the thousands of happy customers I have had there are always a few that will complain about the free gold bar I sent them because it weighed too much.
I was supposed to get a gold bar? Now I'm going to change my review of my Argonaut BP/W to -1 stars!

In all seriousness, I'll join the chorus of support and say that I was very happy with my order. Bryan and I exchanged emails and PMs in June of 2018 while I was trying to make the decision between a steel or aluminum plate and a 23 or 35 lb wing. He didn't have any steel plates, but suggested another small business that could get me one, and helped me make the (correct) decision to get the 23 lb wing. He emailed me a couple more times with updates on my order as well as some important information for a first time buyer, like that it would be shipped with the corrugated hose turned around backwards so that it would pack better. It was much more like emailing back and forth with a friend than somebody who just wanted my money.

This is a really weird thread. It started with "Is VDH done?" and received the answer "No." Then proceded to "Yes they are, shut up. I hate VDH, I hate the guy who runs the business, his stuff is garbage, oh, but I still want it." Bryan is probably a lot nicer than I am - most people are - but I wouldn't sell anything to somebody who dragged me through the mud like this.

Out of stock is well, out of stock, if you order an out of stock item no magic happens that makes it in stock.

Let's face it, some of those parts were out of stock for decades, and would continue to be, even if the manufacturer still existed.

The good news is that Bryan, and others like him will take the time to support those of us that repair and enjoy vintage gear.

If it wasn't for VDH, both the part and the knowledge it would fit my Nemrod, I wouldn't have been able put the Snark III I learned to dive on back in service. Waiting for a part may be annoying, but getting a paperweight back in service is priceless,

Bob
