ScubaPro Mk7?

Greetings all,

A while back, I picked up some old gear that included steel tanks. I was really only after the tanks, but the gentleman selling wanted to sell as a package. The equipment was his and his wife's. It included two PST steel tanks (both now have new hyrdo and current viz), two sets up jet fins, some very old neoprene, two old BC's with lead shot in it, and these regulators which seem to be MK7. I have two questions, (1) what are the secondaries, and (2) what should I do with these regulator sets? I do not know if they honk yet. I hooked them up when one of my tanks was at 500 psi, but neither seemed to honk.

A friend of mine had a MK7 back in the seventies. He got rid of it quite soon, replacing with a Mark5.
I remember diving with him and hearing that very annoying sound when the pressure was below 50 bars.
A good pressure meter is much better than that crap noise alert for low pressure...
However, together with that obsolete 1st stage, you got got a nice "Scubapro model 109" second stage, which can be retrofitted with a modern poppet, and even converted to a fully balanced.
If properly serviced, this second stage is still fully usable nowadays. I own 5 of them, and I use two of them regularly (even one week ago), connected with their Mark5 first stage (which also can be properly serviced and used).

I think they are dangerous.... You should send them to me for proper disposal!

You should get this repaired to honk, then find one of the old tank banger reserve valves, and you can go honkin and bangin every time your air gets low.

I have a honker. You can replace two pounds on your belt with that hunk of steel.
