Looking for tips on using a DPV for spearfishing. Will be using on oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.
Just purchased a Genesis 1200. Does anyone shoot while on the trigger? I use a Riffe No Ka Oi which has a bit of a kick, roller gun conversion maybe? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know @dumpsterDiver does, though he may use it more for bug hunting. Here's his YouTube channel. You could ask questions on his videos as he was banned here.

Where is the link for his Youtube channel?

Sorry about that. I copied the link, but forgot to paste. The last few videos he's used a DPV.

Whatandwhen2

Do you have an email address for him please?

He's on Spearboard , there are some other guys there scootering as well. Also on FB there are some spearfishing groups where people do it. I've considered it as a typical day for me would include up to 2 miles of swimming occasionally in 1kt current. Also useful in fossiling.

Yeah, unfortunately Tony has basically set SpearBoard out to the curb and therefore doesn't approve new subscribers. So unless you already have an account you're shitoutta luck. Dude really should sell it and let someone bring that board into 21st century.

@BurhanMuntasser I wouldn't feel comfortable giving out his email address. Shoot him a message through YouTube.

... unfortunately Tony ....
I talked to Tony G at the PBC dive party on Saturday night for a while. He's been busy and sold his old CC boat and purchased a bigger enclosed boat. He's been working on it since he does alot of research with different scientists and Lemon season is coming up. He said he doesn't have alot of moderator help on SB anymore.

No problem, I already connected with him on Youtube.
