I've actually had a buddy suggest drilling holes in the bottom of my boots like he did so they'll drain when getting out of the water. No thanks. I can pour it out well enough when I take them off.

That sounds like a great idea. Next time I need to buy another pair, I'll probably take a look at them. But they are made that way. That's different from indiscriminately drilling holes in the bottom. That would give the soles a nifty little place to crack and start tearing. That's the point I was trying to make.
