Past tense: Is it “Dived” or “Dove”

"I dived the Maldiveds" just doesn't sound right.
 
So I was just looking something up...

Fewer entanglements with DIN than yoke, so it's safer where any amount of fishing exists. I've dove my DIN around the world and have never had a problem, even when I forgot my adapter.

I like the southern US option "I done dived", can't missed the past tense intention (or was it intension) with that version :)

Maul Deeves
And I know you didn't deeve there
